Annette Franks, M.Ed., LPC, CWC is a Corporate Wellness Coach and Licensed Professional Counselor licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board. She has over 40 years counseling and consulting experience working with individuals, couples, families and companies.
 Annette has a Counseling and Consulting Practice in Columbus, Ohio integrating Mind-Body-Health Practices. She also has a Consulting and Coaching Practice in Downtown Punta Gorda, Florida. She works with Executives and Companies as a Corporate Wellness Coach and has been the featured guest on numerous TV talk shows and is a Keynote Speaker among Corporate America, including Fortune 500 Companies. Annette has an extensive background in the fields of Psychology, Gestalt Psychotherapy Practices, Energy and Functional Medicine, Holistic Health Care Modalities and Addiction. She conducts Relationship Workshops, Empowerment Seminars, Motivational Speaking Engagements, and Counselor and Corporate Training Programs throughout the United States and Canada.
Annette was on Faculty at The Institute of Holistic Health Careers, The Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio and The Addiction Studies Institute at The Ohio State University Department of Addiction Medicine - Talbot Hall and (FGCU) Florida Gulf Coast University's Continuing Education Program. Annette was a Presenter for the Hazelden Women Healing Conferences presented Internationally by the Hazelden Foundation and served on the Advisory Board of Directors for The Institute of Addiction Studies at The Ohio State University Department of Addiction Medicine for over 15 years. She also served as the President of the Executive Board of Directors for the Gestalt Institute of Central Ohio, a three-year intensive Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Program for Master and Doctorate Level Practitioners. Annette has a passion for life and for learning and it shows in all her workshops and seminars.
Annette leads Weekend Retreats in Punta Gorda, Florida and week long Life Enrichment Retreats open to the public on "Radiant Health ~ Mindful Living" and also "Tai Chi and Qigong Immersions" at Pura Vida Spa in Costa Rica and in the past at Maya Tulum Resort in Mexico. The Life Enrichment Retreats utilize Annette's Extensive Background in the Fields of Psychology and Energy Medicine and Mind-Body Health Practices including evidence-based Medical Qigong and Tai Chi Practices. Annette is an IIQTC Senior Trainer and a Certified Tai Chi Teacher and a Certified Qigong Teacher from the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi (IIQTC). She is also Certified as an Integral Energetics Practitioner from the IIQTC in Santa Barbara, California. Annette studied in China with Dr. Roger Jahnke, OMD (author of "The Healer Within" and "The Healing Promise of Qi") and Master Zhou Jin Bo courses on WuDang Hun Yuan Qigong and 18 FormTaiji.
Annette's background in Integrative Medicine and Holistic Health Practices mirror the Ethics and Principles of Permaculture 'Care of People, Care of the Earth, Care for Our Future'. She values Sustainable Living Practices and has completed the Permaculture Design Course Certification from Midwest Permaculture with Bill Wilson as well as Permaculture Homesteading with Andrew Faust at Omega Institute's Center for Sustainable Living in New York. Annette is a dynamic teacher keeping on the cutting edge of Research in Integrative Mind-Body-Health Practices and Sustainable Living Practices. She has a passion for life and for learning and it shows in her daily life and all her Seminars and Retreats.
With a long term career and family rooted in Ohio as well as her life-long passion for the ocean and living near the water, Annette resides every month year round in both Columbus, Ohio and Punta Gorda, Florida.
